Breaking Radio Silence

After a long period of silence and busy work, we thought it high time that we gave a few updates on how the PICARD experiment has been growing over the past months!
Following the training week and Critical Design Review in Oberpfaffenhoffen back in June, we have been toiling away in the labs turning our designs into reality. Unfortunately, rocket science has a habit of being rather complex, and as we worked on making our design and begining to test it we uncovered a good many issues and complications which we hadn't considered, but after going back to the drawing board for a few parts and yet more hours in the labs the final experiment is complete! Once we've tidied up all the cans of energy drinks, crumpled design papers and loose screws from the lab, we'll share some lovely pictures.
The next obstacle to overcome is the Experiment Acceptance Review; hopefully our technical prowess and inate charm will be enough to convince the review panel from ESA that we know what we're doing and will be ready to fly!
Stay tuned over the next few days for an update on how it all went!
(We promise not to leave you so long without an update next time...really! :P)
